Album Notes
There are a million ways to say what you think about a person. Sometimes you can say it directly. Sometimes it's nice to take a slightly offbeat approach. I Know Where The Sunshine Goes takes the offbeat approach to expressing how I feel about my wife. Where does the sun go when it sets in the Evening? Astronomers will tell you it doesn't go anywhere; it's the earth that turns away from it. Well, poets like myself beg to differ. As far as I'm concerned, the Sun's rays shine brightly from my wife's eyes. It might not be scientifically correct, but when it comes to love, who cares?
The song follows along that same theme, looking at some of the things we love, ponders where they might be when we can't see or feel them and answers the question with a thought about how they are expressed in someone you love.
I might have written it for my wife, Lois but it's one of those songs that anyone can apply to their nearest and dearest.
