ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
John Austin McDaniel, or "Johnny Mac" as he's frequently referred to, is the real deal. He sings with passion and conviction, plays guitar with taste and flash, and he strives for substance over world-wide acclaim. On this album of Waylon Jennings classics, John is backed by actual members of Waylon's band. Collectively known as Waymore's Outlaws, Richie Albright, Jerry "Jigger" Bridges, and Fred Newell bring their genuine outlaw pedigree to this music, and play it like no others could. Richie's drumming IS the Waylon sound. When you combine his right foot with Jigger's bass guitar, add Fred's expressive steel guitar, then put "Johnny Mac" out front with a telecaster and a mic... What you get is some damn good outlaw country made by people that love what they do.
