ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Following the success of "The Doob Doo Album" JohnCee formed the band John Cee Stannard & Blue Horizon in order to take the songs to gigs. This was clearly an excellent move. JohnCee's ". . . very English nod to the blues" (Rock'n'Reel) in this acoustic trio form is proving to be a winning formula. The follow up album "Bus Depot Blues" features the working trio with the added rhythm section of Andy Crowdy and Julian Bown.
"Bus Depot Blues" is a concentration of twelve fun packed tracks - eleven originals together with an Arthur Crudup cover, which sound as if they have been around for ever. None of these tracks would have sounded out of place in a 1930's or 1940's blues bar. This album is foot-tapping blues at it's best.
JohnCee formed the legendary folk group "Tudor Lodge" back in 1968 which still has a cult following to this day, then in 2011 his writing took him in this new blues influenced direction.
