About the Stories
===========

Recommended for ages 8 to 88. Parents are encouraged to listen to the stories before sharing them with their children.

All tracks were recorded in Montréal, Québec. Sound effects were added by Rikki Lacoste (Toronto, Ontario). Musical accompaniment provided by Shayne Gryn (www.shaynegryn.com) and Sarah Frank (www.thebombadils.com). See the liner notes for more information.

There are always so many people to thank to bring a project like this from dreams to reality, but the following folks were key:
. Sarah: thanks for your love, passion, and patience.
. Fellow Bards: Greg Currie, Rikki Lacoste, Ja Sonier, Ruthanne Edward, Dr. Brendan Myers, Kym Dominique-Ferguson, Nicole Lavigne, LC.
. The Bombadils: thanks to Sarah, Luke, Alan, and Anh for sharing their music.

Liner Notes
===========

1. Hall of Wonders
Written by Thomas E. Fuller, retold with permission by the Estate of Thomas E. Fuller.
First heard on The Moonlit Road (www.themoonlitroad.com)
Music effects: Rikki Lacoste

2. Fionn MacCool and the Old Man
Based on the traditional Irish folktale
First heard from Mike Burns
Recorded at Driving Out the Snakes II
Music effects: Rikki Lacoste

Notes: I made a couple of mistakes in this story. Fionn traveled extensively across Scotland and Wales, not just Ireland.
The island itself is known as "The Isle or Arran" rather than the Arran Islands.
Also, the Isle of Arran is mostly rock and wouldn't have that much in the way of hunting. Oops.

3. Thomas and La Chasse-Galerie
Based on a traditional Québecois folktale
Recorded at Musée Chateau Ramezay in December 2010
La Chasse-galerie also known as "The Bewitched Canoe" or "The Flying Canoe"

4. The Boy Who Drew Cats
Traditional Japanese folktale
Recorded at Slamtastique Story Slam (www.slamtastique.ca)
First heard from Roman Pylat
Music effects: Rikki Lacoste

5. The Dead Don’t Pay
Retold with permission from the family of the late, great Helen Carmichael Porter
Story published in "Ghostwise", a collection by Dan Yashinsky

6. The Man with No Story
Based on the traditional Irish folktale

7. Lex & the Devil
