Album Notes
I think of these songs as vacation music. Most were written and recorded while I was on vacation and weren't done with the intention of releasing them. They were songs that I did for myself to pass the time and exercise my creativity. As such they have a relaxed, casual feeling that keeps me coming back to listen to them. It's for that reason that I've decided to polish them up and share them with the world. They span nearly the whole time that I've had a digital recording setup at home, with the oldest being from November 2001 and the most recent from December 2012.

I played all the guitars and played or programmed most of the bass and synth sounds. Joel Taylor played drums, Billy Hulting played percussion and vibes, and David Hughes played upright bass on Jaeljo Overture.

Reggatta de Guitarra-A Reggae song with percussion instead of a drumkit.

Jellyfish-A song that shows my classic rock/jam band influence.

Psychedelic Cowboy-In some circles I'm know as the Psychedelic Cowboy. This song is a bit of an homage to Mark Knopfler. The solo is one of my favorite first takes.

Jaeljo Overture-Years ago I played in a group called Jaeljo. We did one recording called Jaeljo and I wrote this song as an overture to the title song for our live performances. It was never recorded by that group, but I always liked the song and wanted to include it here.

Song For My Dad-The feeling and melody of this song remind me of my dad, who is one of my greatest supporters. Thanks for everything Dad!

Up To My Eyeballs-This is another song with a classic rock influence.

Wind Chimes From Jupiter-I wanted to write a solo guitar piece using only harmonics for years. I had originally conceived of it and written it for electric guitar. One day I picked up an acoustic and played this song on it and realized that the acoustic with the effects was the sound I was looking for.

Counting Sheep-This song is a lullaby. It's one of the songs I've written that most gives me a relaxed feeling.
