Album Notes
Tales of the Bird watchers Volume 2.

Following the release of Tales of the Birdwatchers Vol.1 the Roan Antelope Music Team received constructive suggestions from experts but many accolades from birding beginners and from folks that were not birders and now have been converted into following this rewarding pastime. Although the digital age and technology has brought an incredible source of information to the world in every field and even to birding, it is so refreshing to watch or listen to birds in the field rather than on the internet- the real thing!
This series is to help folks know what the bird they are hearing actually looks like
Outdoor pastimes such as birding, biking, hiking, walking or fishing are a great escape from the laptop, I-pad, cell phone and pollution (Noise, Air and Rubble). A remark received on a communication to us said “Just for a while and for a change I left my darned cell phone at home” spurred John Edmond into writing a song called “The Telephone Bird” which will be featured on Volume 3 of this series.
John and Teresa Edmond are passionate about every aspect of the great outdoors and after their Game Rangers, Wild and Beautiful, Circle of Life and Campfire albums on the 15th June 1993, received a letter from the late great Len Gillard (supplier of many of the bird calls on this series) Here is a quote from that letter. “Your tape is one that can be appreciated by nature lovers of all ages and serves as a good introduction to the wild for youngsters” – that did it! These words of encouragement confirmed we were on the right track and sparked the creation of the albums we have produced and more wildlife albums to come.
Wonderful work has been done bringing knowledge of the great outdoors by book publishers, television producers, CD recorders, photographers and illustrators together with the generous sponsorship of these projects by corporate companies and here is our humble offering; this time it’s IN THE SONG. The works of the spirit of man and birdsong weaved into one.
Never been done before, now uniquely captured by the one and only John Edmond!
