Album Notes
Inspired by words of encouragement from late great birders of the past, who all those years ago in 1983, provided Roan Antelope Music with the sounds you hear on this series, the producers are proud to present Volume 3. They have also been encouraged by the great feedback they have received from Volumes one and two from birding beginners both young and old - not to mention some positive comments from birding boffins. here is some feedback from the experts on a "live" show in which John performed the stories and songs.
" Thank you very much for an enjoyable evening at Nicama on 30 May. I definitely speak on behalf of all birders and nature lovers who attended John’s musical presentation of “Tales of Birdwatchers”.
As birders of long standing Miekie and I can only agree that bird calls are an important and integral part of bird watching and identification. This can be a tricky aspect but John’s Volumes 1-3 of “tales of Birdwatchers” is a very clever and entertaining method to boost the interest in ornithology.
Miekie and I bounced John’s tapes against my daughter who is also an enthusiastic birder and our young grandchildren. All of them agreed that the stories and songs relating to the bird calls are great fun and will encourage especially the youth to take up this most enjoyable hobby.
I must emphasize that everyone who attended John’s show was duly impressed and stressed that it was not only educational, but great fun."
Well, we at Roan Antelope Music feels that Dirk and Miekies mail and summary says it all about the series!
As usual no one does it like John Edmond
Original, authentic and an artist of note.
