ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Hi, my name is John Ellis Postlewait

Over ten years ago, I sat down with my cheap guitar and tried to learn how to write songs. Songs about the ups and downs, the beautiful and the harrowing, all part of my average but singular life. A few details got fudged for the listener’s benefit and the song’s. No matter, it was real enough. Then I began recording my songs with the help of my talented friends and family, who pulled me along from humble open mic guy to humble album maker. That took ten years, too. Some played on it, some helped it sound better, but all of them inspired and elevated me. Long live their music, too.

For the record. "Apostlethwayte" was probably how my last name was spelled 800 years ago in Northwest England. I thought it sounded cooler, too. So please give the record a listen, we gave it our best effort and are proud of it. Hope you like it.
