The unmatchable artist with the infectious supernatural voice nails it again
I downloaded this album on Johnette's birthday (the day of release) with great excitement having followed the fascinating evolutionary process on Twitter, including the use of a mobile recording lab at her property in Joshua Tree CA. I was a little anxious that this brilliant and unique artist would maintain the intensity and five star standard of her previous Sketchbook series of albums. After no more than two or three swings through The Naked Album I was once again blown away by the sheer brilliance of the material, the class of the instrumentation ... and of course that awesome, supernatural, infectious voice. This album beautifully reflects her hugely successful and frenetic series of accoustic solo concerts over the last couple of years and is spot on the mark as usual. The album will form another absolute gem in the musical collection of her devoted fans and any audiophile with eclectic musical taste.
