Album Notes
For starters, music has been a part of me since I was a toddler. For years I impersonated artists on the Top 40, mainly during the 60s and 70s. But in 1976 a friend challenged me to write my own songs, and so it began.

Weather phenomena have been used as metaphors in songs for ages. (I did it, too!) But in how many songs is weather the big star? Fewer yet promote weather preparedness and safety. So, in 1999, I began writing songs that would compliment my job’s (National Weather Service) mission: To save lives and property!!!

I’ve been told most of my weather songs have a characteristic “morbid shock line”. Well, it seems to get the message across! If a few lives can be saved, so be it!

Genious I tell you!!!
Absolute genious! A cross between Christopher Cross...Kenny Loggins and the Weather Channel. Weather is serious business and it is about time someone took is seriously!!! Way to go John!

thanks for the wx music
Great cd.
Over time I will be purchasing some cds to be used as a raffle at our Skywarn training classes. I wish the wording of the eyes of the west where more like eyes of the country. I think that is one of the better cuts on the cd.
Thanks for all you do for the NWS and the public.

great music -- do more

Great, music supporting important messages
I recently stumbled across the CD for some of my favorite, previously, free music. While browsing for information about my partner's and my upcoming trip to Big Bend NP, we stumbled on Mr. Faucett's "Turn Around, Don't Drown." Just for kicks, I downloaded it to the Ipod right before the trip. Well, wouldn't you know it, later in the trip, while traversing backroads out side of Las Cruces, we came upon a flooded arroyo. Renaldo figured it was shallow enough to cross, but I knew otherwise. Without saying a word, I clicked through to "TADD" and cranked the volume. Moments later, we were headed in the other direction with smiles on our faces and a new tune in our hearts.

Turn Arounf Don't Drown has become just one of our many favorites on the CD. Thanks John!

Love the Music and the Theme
Being a weather nut and a member of SKYWARN, I'm glad that there is finally some music about my passions: Weather and SKYWARN!

Having heard the music in its original form, I think that this CD's music and sound quality is far better (not that the original music was bad).

Thanks for the tunes!
