The Way We Weren't

by John Gardiner

If Radiohead and Led Zeppelin had a baby & it was raised by Van Morrison, this is what that baby would sound like. Soulful acoustic/electric songs written out of hope and pain.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
John Gardiner was born in Edgewood, KY, and now lives in New York City. He has been writing songs on guitar and piano from the time he first picked them up ...he's quite strong.

After singing and playing guitar in a variety of bands over the past 19 years, John has made the decision to go it alone. Not only is this Gardiner's first solo effort, it is a piece of his life set to music.

All four songs were written as a catharsis, inspired by the breakup with his former fiancee.

If these songs have a journeyman or "on the road" quality to them, perhaps it's because John recorded them as he traveled across the country in studios ranging from Cleveland, Ohio to Honolulu, Hawaii.
