ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
John Hadfield is an award winning singer songwriter and a former circus performer. His music has been featured on WXPN's Peabody Award-winning radio show Kids Corner, Saturday Morning Cereal Bowl, satellite radio's Kids Place Live, Gooney Bird Kids, and NPR's Car Talk. His CDs Monkeys in the House and Robot Monkey Head have combined to win 5 Children's Music Web Awards.

“It's amazing how such a seemingly mild-mannered outside can mask the simmering inside of craziness that is John Hadfield. It's just when you listen to songs like Duct Tape Festival and Robot Monkey Head that you realize he speaks the international kid language of ‘goofy’."
Kathy O'Connell, Host/Producer of Kids Corner, WXPN

"Quirky and comical... funny and definitely entertaining."
TheCelebrityCafe.com

“Robot Monkey Head is a collection of zany songs about school, beans, duct tape and a mouse-wacking bunny. Yeah, that’s what I thought too… Who writes a song about duct tape? He pulls it off brilliantly, switching from new wave to bluegrass to jazz in a mix that flows easily from one song to the next. The clever lyrics are perfect for road trip sing-alongs.”
Phil Corless, Children’s Music Critic (A Family Runs Through It)

“A ‘Weird Al For Kids’.”

"Eastern Washington State will never be the same again after being exposed to Stink Monkey."
Carlos Alden -- The Nacho Celtic Hour, KPBX-FM Spokane WA

“I’d like to spend an afternoon in John’s brain.”
Steve Marshall -- Rubber Chicken Radio, Tokyo Japan

"Highly entertaining, brilliant and fun. To summarize, we love this record."
Amy Davis -- Children's Music Critic (The Lovely Mrs. Davis Tells You What to Think)

“You should write a musical – the costumes would be insane.”
David Sedaris -- NPR humorist and best selling author

“Hadfield – a former White House Communications employee who planned to become an FBI agent – is credited on vocals, dog whistle, squeaky toys, toaster and slide whistle, a good indication of the fabulous foolishness on this disc.” Billy Heller, The New York Post

“The I Like Beans track had us laughing so hard we couldn’t even talk.”
Shelly Kutch, 7th grade science specialist and mom

“If you can imagine John Tesh and Bill Nye the Science Guy having a child and sending him to Clown College, you would have a pretty good idea of what the students at Chadds Ford Elementary were treated to Nov. 9th.”
The Kennett Paper, Kennett Square, PA

"Robot Monkey Head" was an instant favorite.” Gwyneth Butera, Gooney Bird Kids
