ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Originally from the Bronx, NY, John Bristow has paid his dues as a musician, with interest. A composer, guitarist, vocalist and performer from his early teens, he's had a long, rewarding, music career and presence in the Danbury, CT and NYC, Tri state area. Known primarily as a prolific composer and performer of original music, you could also find John, any given night, kickin out the best of contemporary music and the classics, from rock to jazz, performing solo, or with any of the extremely talented musicians in and around the CT, NJ, and NYC areas. He has had opportunity and honor to work with, perform onstage and do studio work for, a number terrific music business icons. Most notably, his close personal and working relationship with the late, great, beautiful, and his sadly missed friend, Laura Nyro. John is honored and humbled to have joined the ranks of people like Duane Allman, Steve Gadd and many, many other greats, who have recorded and worked with Laura Nyro. John plays electric guitar on Laura's "Mother's Spiritual" album/cd. http://www.iconoclassicrecords.com/catalogue/mothers/mothers.html

Regarding his Unfinished Business CD, John says...."Sometimes a musician must resort to doing it all themselves to get it done, and if you are or have been in a band, you may know exactly what I mean! So for now, better is the enemy of good enough. This CD is a starting point and until the next project, I do believe you will hear some interesting music on it".

This CD was created in my humble home pc studio. All selections are copyright John Bristow. All arrangements, vocals and instruments performed by John Bristow. However, the piano intro to "Dreamin," was played and sent to me as an e-mail attachment, by long time, talented friend, Kris Tonner of Atlanta, GA. The tune "I Feel Good" was recorded with my "live" band in studio. And finally, my good friend Terry Silverlight sent me, via wav files, drum tracks for "Follow The Leaders." Thank You Terry !! Wish we could've been in the same room to play together.

This CD is dedicated to my two little boys, my wonderfully distracting sons, Dylan and Kyle (my Unfinished Business). God knows, I love them with my life. And to my loving wife Tracy, the mother of my sons. And, I of course dedicate it to my Mom and Dad, Sister and Brother, my family, friends and fans over the years. All have supported me 1000% and I surely appreciate them.

If possible, take a break, clear your mind, and Turn it UP!! This CD likes a good pair of headphones or a decent sound system.

Pray for our Country, the world, and Pray for Peace. "This" life is a gift.
"Small minds in a small place. We're just a Spec In Space".

A must have for any guitar music lover!
This is my kind of guitar music! Everything from hard driving rock, with nicely mastered solos, to some funked-up jazz, and a side of acoustic to round things out. One of my favorites, I Feel Good, showcases both his guitar work and vocals, and is a kick to listen to.
John Bristow has a nicely-rounded repertoire, so you don't hear the same style from song to song. A great mix of unique styles and guitar work! To think he recorded most of this album at home, man I would love to see this performed LIVE!
