This debut recording features pianist John Nazarenko, with bassist Reuben Rogers and drummer Eric Harland. The recording highlights the band playing standards and a couple classic rock tunes (Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones and Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd). John Nazarenko is a Senior Artist-in-Residence in the Skidmore College Music Department. He performs as a soloist, with his trio, with Colleen Pratt and Friends, and with jazz guitarist Chuck D'Aloia. He has published three books on jazz piano, improvisation, and arranging for small combos.
