Album Notes
Afro-Native American flutist, composer Johnny Alston aka Nailman, has blended his Native flute sounds and improvisational style to the accompaniment of Pittsburgh pianist, Harry Clark, for Johnny's second CD.

Johnny Alston's original compositions invite the listener into his world, a world of lingering, melodic phrasing. This CD is truly a heartfelt, peaceful healing experience for all to enjoy. Not only is it a crossing into Alston's world but a passage to the often-overlooked journey into our inner selves. Johnny Alston and Harry Clark touched the heavens with this inventive original work.

A special thank you to Dr. Harry Clark for his adept accompaniment, individuality, and willingness to explore this free form musical journey; George Heid for his technical expertise, years of experience and artistic generosity; Jim Barr for his astute engineering; Barbara Clark for her inspirational ideas and song title suggestions; Carolyn M Cerminara for her photographic art, graphic design, constant diligence and caring, assistance with the track order, song titles and the completion of this project.

Quite beautiful
There's almost always a few songs in an album that I throw out. Not so here. Every track is great. Not sure if this is what Alston was thinking, but when I listen, I hear the loneliness and beauty of the "in-between" places of the world (and the heart). Nicely done.
