ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Johnny and the Moles is a band steeped in the great American musical traditions of jazz, blues, funk, New Orleans second line, and rock n’ roll . With a Tuba and Drums driven rhythm section their music has a whimsical vibrancy rooted in groove, immediacy, and uncompromising authenticity. Its members are all veterans of the Seattle grunge, groove and grind music scene. Featuring former and current members of TUBALUBA, Reptet, Yogoman Burning Band, 45th St Brass, The Tiptons Sax Quartet and The Clarence Mack Express (featured on the legendary Wheedle's Groove collection). Inspired songs, unique sound and powerful performances. A band that leans forward while tipping their hat to the rich heritage from which they sprang.

Johnny and the Moles -Awesome!
I love this cd from start to finish. The musicality of this cd is fantastic. I can tell the first track was influenced by the Beatles. Many of the tracks were influenced by the blues and jazz yet its modern and current. Many of the songs have me singing along including The Man, I Ain’t Your Plaything Anymore, Figure It Out, and Trump. There is a definite funky vibe to this cd that I love!
