Album Notes
San Antonio - The long anticipated new album, THE ABSOLUTE JOHNNY BUSH, is scheduled for release on June 16. This new 20-song project contains many of Johnny's hits and personal favorites, as well as a "who's who" of legendary musicians and songwriters, and featured duets with the late Ray Price, Reckless Kelly, and Dale Watson.

The album, recorded and produced by Bill Green at BGM Studios in San Antonio, showcases Bush's renewed dynamic vocal range thanks to the diagnosis and treatments for spasmodic dysphonia, a rare voice disorder which Johnny battled nearly forty years. Beginning in 2002, new treatments allowed Johnny to reclaim his voice and his "Country Caruso" vocal range. It has been said by many that his voice is now as good as it's ever been.

Bush's self-penned hit "Whiskey River", Merle's classic "Today I Started Loving You Again", Willie's "Undo The Right", along with "My Cup Runneth Over", and "I'll Go To a Stranger", are just a few examples of the songs featuring Johnny's dynamic vocals mixed with his signature steel guitar and twin fiddles arrangements. The duets feature his mentor, Ray Price on the old Ray Charles song, "Ain't Your Memory Got No Pride At All", Willie's "I Gotta Get Drunk" with Dale Watson, and Whitey Shafer's "If I Say I Love You (Consider Me Drunk)" with Reckless Kelly. To wrap up the collection, Johnny includes his version of the old classic "Without a Song" recorded by Frank Sinatra, and Willie (among others) backed by a lush string arrangement with piano, upright bass, and classical guitar. This album is a twenty song collection unlike anything ever released by "The Country Caruso"!

"Johnny Bush and The Bandoleros continue to perform to 'standing room only' audiences while
inspiring many younger acts who are influenced by the his style, songs, and traditional Texas honky-tonk sound. Many of the younger artists regularly invite Johnny to share the stage at their shows, introducing him to a new generation of fans." - John Goodspeed

The depth and richness of both the material and production of this album are a perfect fit for the legendary 'Country Caruso' and reminds us all that, "A Day Without Johnny Bush, Is Like A Day Without Sunshine!" -Dallas Wayne, SiriusXm

This new project is the shining proof of determination and tenacity of THE ABSOLUTE JOHNNY BUSH.
