ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
For 25 years Johnny C. Lately played numerous venues performing other artists' material, always searching for the sound that expressed his personal world view. Then, in 2006, after a life-changing experience, he began writing and performing his own songs. Since then, he has written hundreds of original compositions in his own unique voice blending the styles from different musical genres including folk, country, blues, and reggae.

"Johnny C. Lately is a great example of what makes Texas music so wonderful; he utilizes many styles of music to create his sound, and works the crowd with a mixture of entertaining antics and thought-provoking lyrics."
Matt Meinke, Chief Announcer/Host: Notably Texan, 88.9 FM KETR Radio

"...an untapped natural Texas resource...cool and authentic."
Charles McKeever from, "Johnny C. Lately Plays Live Texas Music on Main Street"

“Johnny C. Lately crafts a unique blend of Sulphur River Bottom Blues, Black-Dirt Country, Down-home Gospel and Folk music that marries the serious side of life with tongue-in-cheek humor.”
Mark Clark - Saturday Matinee
