Album Notes
Blues lies at the heart of all we do, but we touch down on rock and roll, R&B, country and ballads. A distinctive sound honed from 20 years of gigging and six cds gives us a flavor that's hard to categorize. Johnny's voice is a great instrument with a wide palette, and the strong soloing and ensemble playing of the harmonica, piano, guitar and drums (no bass) gives a wide variety to the music while maintaining a particular identity for the band. We put the high energy and intensity of our live shows into our records, while crafting the songs to cover all the musical directions we go. The band hails from Martha's Vineyard and while we have played all over the world, it's the country barn dances and back porch nights that make us who we are, and give all our gigs and records the passion and fire that we bring.

Johnny Hoy - The Dance

Return to top form
All his albums are good value - great vocals and the real deal blues. The early albums are astonishingly good, but this latest one is right up there with them.
