Album Notes
Colorado Blue is pure Colorado Mountain Music. Fourteen tunes inspired by the beauty of Colorado. There is something here for everyone..... Fabulous song-writing, bluesy vintage wood and metal-bodied slide guitars, down-home acoustic guitar picking, contributions by three incredible Colorado harmonica players, soulful vocals, spiced with a touch of percussion, banjo, mandolin and mandola. This is a beautiful American Roots album that you will enjoy time and time again.

Wonderful Collection of New Tunes
This CD delivers the stellar acoustic blues guitar artistry that I expect from Johnny Johnston plus so much more!! The songwriting is stellar and the contributing musicians are phenomenal. Great acoustic blues plus wonderful guitar instrumentals, and a couple singer/songerwriter gems. It's been quite a while since Johnny's first disc (which I still play regularly), but this one was worth the wait. Please don't make us wait so long for the next one....

Best CD 2016 - Colorado Blues Society
It's clear why this CD won the 2016 Colorado Blues Society CD competition. Great bluesy vocals, fabulous slide and acoustic guitars, a bevy of phenomenal harmonica players. Touch of mandolin, mandola on some tracks really adds variety. The songwriting is rock-solid. A handful of instrumentals scattered throughout the CD is like the perfect pinch of spice! I listen to this CD several times every week - it just gets better and better with each listen.
