Album Notes
The words/music and concept of this song was originally created by my friend Tom Johnson (who passed away some time ago). Tom Johnson's father suffered from Alzheimers disease and my own mother has been lost to this awful disease for some years now. I talked to Tom Johnson's family about recording an arrangement of the song and here it is. Both Tom Johnson and I were great admirers of Tom Dorrance and wanted more people to better understand the work that Tom Dorrance did with horses. I hope people will enjoy the words and reflect on the man himself who helped create a better world for horses.
Any profits from the sale of this song will go to the Alzheimer's Association, a voluntary health organization which focuses on care, support and research for Alzheimer's disease.

Over the years i've had many influences on my music. My personal tastes are wide and varied. I'm happy listening to Tony Bennett , Jimi Hendrix, Debussy,John Martyn,Scott Walker, Pink Floyd and Christy Moore one after the other. Songs evoke so many emotions and senses and of course a lot depends on how you personally feel at any given moment. The music can calm you or invigorate you.
I hope that people will find something to celebrate in my music, either original or cover versions. I think it's all about interpretation and trying to reach the listener with your own sense of what a song means to you.
