Album Notes
"Like hearing a Matisse painting come to life...playful technique and unfettered imagination" - Downbeat Magazine

John Stetch and the NYC based Vulneraville is:
John Stetch – Piano
Steve Kortyka – Sax
Philippe Lemm – Drums
Ben Tiberio – Bass

6-time Juno nominee and Steinway Artist John Stetch plays only Stetch originals in this group, ranging from toe-tapping swing to East European suites to classically influenced cinematic excursions. “This personnel is my best chemistry yet; they’re
able to find and bring out all possible joy, energy and freshness in the music,” says the former 2-time guest on Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz. Cincinatti-born Steve Kortyka is a Yamaha saxophone artist who has been touring with Lady Gaga’s jazz project, alongside other jazz work. Philippe Lemm is Holland’s most in-demand drummer who studied Indian music, and knows pop inside out - and 25-year-old Rochester native Ben Tiberio has already played bass in the top clubs of New York City.

“FANTASTIC! There is such clarity and so much humor in Stetch’s playing! I have always loved that about him.”
Rufus Reid, bassist, composer and bandleader
