Album Notes
From the liner notes:

It's been my pleasure to play with Manfred Junker for several years now. Manfred has worked hard to book us as a duo at a number of nice small clubs and concert venues in Germany and Switzerland, and we've developed a nice musical chemistry and friendship as a result of our time spent together. Our styles are different but complimentary. We both value leaving space in our duo for a real conversation and interaction. Manfred has a nice warm sound, impeccable time and good ears, all of which make him an excellent partner. He is also a good composer, and it's been fun to add some of his tunes to our repertoire.
For this recording we tried to capture the spirit and feeling of our live performances and I think we have succeeded. I have enjoyed my time with Manfred and look forward to many more musical conversations and road trips together.

John Stowell is a master guitar-player and a great human being. I feel deeply honored to get the chance to play with him and to learn so much with every concert we play, with every conversation about music and life in general and with the experience of recording in the studio. Playing music has never been easier for me – almost everything we do quite simply works and feels just right. Thank you, John!!!
