Album Notes
I lost my only Son Jacob Ward to a drug overdose in 2013. He could never adjust after coming home from the Iraq war. I saw the struggle first hand and I realized he was still fighting a war and we were in it too." The Other War" is my phrase for PTSD. The songs I wrote are about what I experienced and saw in Jake. I also wanted my Viet Nam Veteran friend and a friend of my sons to contribute to this album. We are committing the profit from sales of the CD to grass roots Veteran Organizations like the Fisher House, Dry Hootch Coffee Shops, American Legions, VFWs, AmVets and any other causes for Veterans in the future. We also plan to work with the V.A. Medical Centers Music Therapy Programs in the Midwest and Nation wide if sales can support it. Thank you for your consideration and give it a listen, We are praying for peace.
John Ward
