Album Notes
Six on Seven by Los Angeles based guitarist Jojo Alves is an album with a difference. Jojo takes the art of two-handed tap guitar to new heights with this collection of ten songs, performed on his self designed 'six on seven' guitar, a 6 string neck placed above a 7 string one, with the left hand playing the bottom neck, bass-line and accompanying chords, and the right hand performing melodic lines and counterpoint chordal arrangement. Backed by the drumming skills of Phil Maturano, the duo deliver a performance of breathtaking musicality across the ten compositions.

With Executive-producer guidance from London by Andrew Brel, and Phil Maturano's drumming recorded in Argentina, this is an intercontinental achievement with complex arrangements somewhere between Frank Zappa and Eric Johnson.

'Six on seven' was recorded studio live at Mad Maya Studios in Los Angeles, and will enthrall all lovers of electrifying guitar music.
