ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“It’s kinda like Mastodon, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and Clutch got drunk and had a child. But, it was not a mistake! This is a gritty, melodic band with relentless riffs and killer rhythms that make you want more. John’s guitar playing is very eclectic….all kinds of mood changes and great guitar leads that should make you wear your seat belt while driving.”
~ Technical Music Review~ New York

“ The song 'A Good Day' is about a warrior, warlock, and a priest that enter the battle arena together. “Our friends are in the gallery,” they proclaim, “as you can see their heads are on display.” With a record of straight-up win after win, they’ve grown quite confident in their powers and have an open door policy to challenges. They’ll fight whoever, wherever, whenever, confidently roaring, “We have no enemy, they’ve all been slain!”
~Doomed & Stoned~Eugene, Or

"After listening to the album Void Walker, longtime fans will not be let down, and newcomers to the Jollymon camp will wonder if the band was always this strong? And, if so, how they hadn’t heard of them prior? The nine-track collection of groove-driven, melodic stoner-metal that is Void Walker should continue to make Jollymon – the band and the fans – proud."
~ The Rock Pit- Austrailia

“It gets all trippy toward the end, pausing for breath and sucking in some space air, while prepping you for the final journey through the Jollymon cosmos of Sky Burial.”
~Gigs n' Trigs~South Wales

“Tsunami’ is probably the song that best represents the Jollymon sound on the new record. It’s heavy, with a bumpin’, groove bass, has cutting, metal guitar, and crushing, precision drums, with a soft, delicious ethereal center.”
~Pure Grain Audio-Canada

“Voidwalker seems to include nearly ever single thing that acceptable in the, shall we say, more psychedelic styles of metal. In lieu of extreme metal, there are Pink Floydian elements along with some, interesting vocal stylings. Take out the metal, add in those woo woo vocals, and you've got the makings of an American Idol super star. But no American Idol winner or (presumably) loser can rip on the guitar like this. That's how this becomes metal even without metal vocals. The album isn't double and triple tracked so it sounds like a band actually playing a song. It's organic, real, and has fist fulls of groove”
~Glacially Musical- St. Louis
