Album Notes
This amorphous project began its journey years ago, as a very short and small musical Christmas gift to friends and family. I found multiple musical themes through the serialization of two words, which provided direction for melody, rhythms, and the length and frequency of looped figures. The pieces were further developed and re-written, edited, re-written again, re-orchestrated, etc, until what started as 6 pieces for 4 guitars grew into a collection of pieces for multiple large ensembles, featuring heavy use of auxiliary and electronic-based percussive instruments, piano and synthesizers, and the addition of manipulated woodwind tracks for otherworldly colors.
While I have never seen it performed live, I have carried this project with me for the last two years, chipping away at small edits and re-writes. With the addition of "Friends" to the collection, the project took on a more concrete form, being an album of pieces connected by similar creative methods and compositional headspace, in contrast to it's early beginnings as a small instrumental project.
I am proud to present my first release as sole composer and producer. I'd like to thank my friends that assisted in the recording with their talent and expertise. I'd like to thank my friends and family for their support and interest. Finally, I'd like to thank my listeners, fans, friends, or anyone who has taken the time to hear this work.

Thank you!!
Jonathan Hawkins
