ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
JonEmery Dodds, the traditionally unconventional singer/songwriter from Northern California, blend Country, Blues, Folk & CowPunk together to create his own style of American Roots Music. He weaves new and personal stories about highways, hangovers & heartache with a sense of humor & humility.

W R E C K E D, the third official JonEmery full length, is harder, sweeter and tumultuous. Teaming up with high profile Sacramento musicians to take the #jonemerystyle to another level. Grub Mitchell (Grub Dog & The Amazing Sweethearts, Sicky Betts, Loose Engines) on Drums and Vocals, Dan Sisson (Tatiana & The Wayward Coyotes, The Damn Liars) on Guitars, Joe "Kojima" Gray (50 Watt Heavy, Sicky Betts, Loose Engines) on Bass and Vocals, Mike Bacon Jr. (Sour Diesel) on Organ and Bass, Chuck Bradley (The Damn Liars, Cash Prophets) on Pedal Steel, Bob "Hell Guapo" Dickinson (The Damn Liars, Cash Prophets) on Resonator PLUS, Special Guest from Texas, Liz Sloan (Urban Pioneers, The Broken Band) on Fiddle.

Keeping in line with the whimsical side with songs "Trailer'd n Trash'd" and "El Camino/Ranchero", W R E C K E D, hones in on more a profound and sensitive side with "Every Single Second", "She's Easy To Dream About" and "Can't Blame Me". What would a JonEmery release be without some CowPunk? "If You Think You're Heartborken Now" & "Ghost Town Road" fit the bill while 70's style rock anthem "Devil's Slow Town Hand Clap" takes a chance at something different to the fold.

Spending a year in the Padded Room Productions Studio in the outskirts of Williams, Ca. The country house setting allowed the songs to marinate to fruition. Unlike "Americana" and "Driftin' To The Shoulder", the musicians, engineers and producers spent a lot of time on creating something different from the previous albums, working on tones, tempos and instrumentation. W R E C K E D is definitely a labor of love album that intends to raise the bar and, set a new standard of future JonEmery albums.
