GRITS: Girls Raised In The South

by Jon Miller

There's just something about southern girls, isn't there? The way they grin, the way they walk and talk; there's just something special about girls from this area. You just know it when you're near a girl raised in the south.

Album Notes
For anyone from the south or anyone that's ever been there, the ladies down there are some kinda special! Get this 5 song compilation CD that features the southern-fried tribute to southern girls "GRITS (Girls Raised In The South)" as it's title track. It also contains the rockin' summer-at-the-beach song "Crack In My Heart" along with the tender ballad "She Don't Need Me". Along with these studio cuts there are two bonus live tracks that were bootlegged in LA (lower Alabama, that is). You'll love these limited edition, unplugged versions of "Choice" and "It's Not Me, It's You".

I love the song GRITS!!!! I grew up in Georgia and Alabama (and am presently stuck in the Midwest, North Dakota to be exact) and I love the way Jon's song describes those of us that grew up in the south. Everyone up here tells me there is something different about me, even though my accent has faded over the years and I think he captures those differences perfectly.
