Album Notes
Drift away to spiritual planes on smooth ambient soundscapes and uplifting chord progressions. Super charge your body with intense basslines and grinding beats.

From Jon Paul Duvall:

For me making music is like finding something, like taking a journey into sound (which is why I refer to my albums as "musical landscapes"). My music theory is almost non-existent, for example I've developed a sense for what key I'm in simply by avoiding keys that sound "wrong" for each song, but I wouldn't know a c-sharp from d-flat. I start off by finding some sound, rhythm, or melody that has a texture I'd like to explore, and then I build off, around, above and below that with other sounds, melodies, and rhythms. I'm texture oriented first, melody oriented next, and structure oriented last. I'm mostly interested in creating a mood, and building towards a totality of sound built from smaller building blocks whose sum is greater than its parts. The electronic music I like to listen to is stuff I can lose myself in, something which is multi-textured and allows me to ride on different threads each time I listen to it. The one great thing about making your own music is that you tend to make music that you enjoy. And if you're lucky (and I still have a hard time believing it about my own work) other people will enjoy what you create.

I hope you enjoy “transcendence” as much as I have enjoyed creating it.

I have never liked trance or ambient music, and never gave the genres a second thought. However, I heard this album and have discovered a whole new style of music I didn’t know I liked. I put these tracks on and completely lose myself. This is one of the best albums I own, by far. I literally listen to it everyday.
