ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Based out of Chicago, Jordan Brown is a producer and songwriter who is owner of JBM Records INC, founded in Miami. Jordan Brown is a soulful writer, who according to Bruce Hornsby, was "born to write." Whether for himself or others, according to the University of Miami Frost School of Music, he is someone who consistently produces, writes and performs music that, "captures the heart in every note." You can find Jordan Brown leading worship on Sundays at his local church, Heritage Church in Chicago-Land and in the local bars and clubs during the week. He is passionate about songwriting, the Church, and being outdoors. He is married to his lovely wife, Spring Taylor Brown who manages several professional social media accounts.

In this song, "Crossfire" Jordan goes down a path that is new territory as a songwriter. In this tune he begins with a thought provoking line, "I was called to a war with no weapons," giving the listener an insight to the reality we all face where we find ourselves in the middle of chaos without any tools or knowledge of how to handle it. Sometimes in life, we get caught in the middle of dissension between two people we love or care about. Whether it be at work, a romantic relationship, marriage or a family divorce, it takes a toll on the soul. We are caught in the crossfire of the discord. Jordan ends the song with the bridge lyrics, "Watch it burn, till the embers glow. Wait your turn, take it slow" leaving the listener with some food for thought.
