ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jordan changes things up in his latest release "Death of an Artist".
In this song, he talks about the frustrating seasons songwriters go through like writer's block, artistic restrictions, and especially for him, dealing with the reality that the music never reached as many people as he dreamed when he was younger.

He got to pair up with Soul Thief Society in this hip-hop break off from his former folk days. Jordan said that, "Soul Thief gave me the freedom to express myself and really serve the emotions and lyrics of the song. Without their influence I don't think the song would've gone the way it did. I'm glad we got to work together." Soul Thief Society, a collective, considers themselves artistic reformers who desire to give the "prophetic" artists of this generation a platform to speak their minds freely, no matter the cost.

"Our hope is to give the artistic outcasts of our society a megaphone to proclaim the truths and rebukes that our generations need to hear from time to time. Sadly, most times the focus on music making is more aimed towards the profit than the message. It's time for the truth to take the center stage of artistic motivation. We are proud to pair up with Jordan as a first release."  Says Carlos Feitoza, one of the founders of Soul Thief Society.
