Album Notes
Jordan Danielsen is a singer songwriter from Davenport, Iowa with a knack for visual lyrics and story telling. His music is a variety of several different styles and genres and no song is ever like the other. Jordan's first album "Night Alone in the City", released in 2011 has an upbeat alternative feel with a blend of Rock, Folk, Hip Hop, and Jazz. Blazing horns, Killer guitar solos, and witty lyrics make this album a definite party album although there are a couple of acoustic harmonica ballads to even it out.
On his Sophomore album "Old Soul", Jordan takes a bit more laid back approach. Gone are the Electric guitars and horns of his former release and replaced by smooth piano, organ, standup bass and violin. Jordan's harmonica playing also takes a front seat in many tracks. Tracks like "Father of Water", a song about the mighty Mississippi River and "Ninnian's Ballad", a biographical song about Jordan's 3rd great grandfather are highlights on this album.
