Album Notes
This is an album of dreams. I sing of a day when we’ll be able to look at a dandelion and appreciate its beauty; a day when we’ll look in the mirror and be able to love much more than our reflection; a day when we’ll look at each other and be able to realize that, while life is fleeting, love is everlasting. I sing of a day when we’ll no longer be afraid to cry; when regrets will no longer haunt us; when happiness will no longer be marketed to us on a shelf, but will truly belong to us; when we’ll be able to find joy in the simplicity of gratitude. I sing of a day when lives will be healed; when peace will be more than a truce; and when we will find it within ourselves to strive toward our utmost horizons. I sing and I pray and I hope that this day will come, and will come soon; and I pray that all who listen to these songs would soon experience such a day of metamorphosis in their own lives.
I give thanks for everyone who came together to make this album possible. To my parents, Ruth and Mark: thank you for your loving devotion to Sophia and me, for believing in the beauty of our dreams, and for raising us to know that all things are possible through Christ. To my darling sister Sophia: thank you for being my sunshine, my everlasting friend, and my encourager. To my grandparents and my extended family: thank you for your constant support, love, and examples of faith. To my friends: thank you for standing by me and for filling my life with wonderful memories and laughter. To my church family: thank you for surrounding me with Christ-like love and compassion. To my teachers: thank you for devoting your lives to teach, inspire, empower, and shape the lives of youth, including me.
To Andy Oxman: thank you for sharing your time and extraordinary musical talents to make this album a work of art. To Carla Oliver: thank you for mentoring me and for sharing your talent and teaching with me. To James Farquhar: thank you for collaborating with me and contributing your outstanding talent to this album. To Wendy Ham: thank you for sharing your artistry in creating a beautiful album cover. To everyone who has inspired me musically and shared their God-given gifts with me, I thank you.
And to God, the songsmith and master composer of life, my hope and my salvation, I dedicate this album in its entirety.
To God be the Glory,
Jordan Gabriella
