"Jory Rose is probably not the kind of person you'd think of when it comes to the indie stereotype. On the contrary, his musical style compliments professional acts, and there is no obvious difference in quality. This is what makes him unique."

Review of JORY COUNTRY by Lars G Lindberg (Radio Siljan - SWEDEN)
"Thanks to Jory I had a chance to serve my listeners a new refreshing sound. Not a full length album, but an album with fully flavored music. Keep them coming Jory... you're on the right track!"

Born and still residing in Toronto, Ontario Canada, Jory has been a diversified on-stage performer for several years. His performing arts background includes songwriting, singing, piano playing, acting and involvement in comedy/improv routines.

Jory didn't begin to seriously study music until after graduating from high school. His formal musical studies also included 13 years of voice training at the T.O. Royal Conservatory of Music.

He began his professional career playing piano and singing as half of a lounge-duo that performed throughout Southern Ontario. He also performed for private parties, corporate functions and many coffeehouse shows.

Jory released 2 original singles (remember vinyl?) to radio stations across Canada (one in 1981 and one in 1986). The singles were well received and several stations played the recordings.

Jory's ORIGINAL Christmas song "I SEND YOU MY LOVE FOR CHRISTMAS" received airplay this year with CHIM-FM, TIMMINS, and will be added to their multi-station playlists for the 2003 season.

His experience in comedy/improv includes graduating from the Toronto Second City Masterclass where he co-wrote the Masterclass' final graduation show.

He also wrote two Fringe Festival of Toronto comedy shows that were very well received:
1. "It Happened in Hogtown" (a series of comedy skits) - 1996
2. "Human Being" (an original musical/comedy) - 1998

Human Being was unique because the actors in the play were also the musicians for the play!

Jory added to his comedian repertoire when he studied stand-up comedy in New York City and performed twice in public shows at the "Stand Up New York" nightclub.

Campus radio stations across Canada have responded well to songs on this CD:

"Well-produced and well structured songwriting." - CFXU-690AM - Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada

"Will play ALL the songs on this CD." - CKUL - University of Lethbridge, Lethbridge, Alberta
