Working Class

by Joseph Washington

I chose these songs for my debut album because of how diversely they characterize the music I love. Each of these songs brings back memories of different periods of my life. I hope each song will bring back good memories for you. And help create new ones.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
My specialty is the Jazz of my and my fathers generation. In fact I began playing guitar to impress him. The better I got the more impressed he was.

I've been posting my videos on YouTube regularly for years now and have accumulated almost 800,000 views and over 1,600 subscribers. So now that I'm retired early from secular work I'm playing in Chicago area restaurant gigs and have to my surprise amassed quite a following.
I taught music American Conservatory when I was much younger. And studied there, and privately under Cecchini, Paul Herman.

This debut album is a mix of jazz standards and contemporary jazz. I really hope you enjoy listening to it.
