ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Grounded Again" was designed to be listened to much like you read a book: from beginning to end. But Joshua P. Kennedy was also careful to make sure each track stood on its own. Here, the artist gives us a tale that is at times achingly sad and at others blissfully gorgeous. Piano ballads keep us swaying, electronic-pop tunes take us up to the rafters, and thoughtful but moody songs leave us grounded again.

"Grounded Again" takes us back to where the artist's debut album left us. A long-term relationship in shambles, the artist finds his way through the grief, recovery, relapse, hope, new heartbreak, and depression. Despite the more-often-than-not morose subject matter, Joshua P. Kennedy uses masterful musical styling to keep the listener aloft.

Bringing to mind the aesthetics of artists like Gilbert O'Sullivan, Darren Hayes, Patrick Wolf, Erasure, and Sarah McLachlan, Joshua P. Kennedy produced in "Grounded Again" an eclectic styling that never sounds repetitive and yet manages to remain cohesive.
