Album Notes
Connie Cummings is a visionary. As the Director and Founder of The Foundation for Global Humanity, www.foundationforglobalhumanity.org, she, with her team of extraordinary individuals travel the globe to live in community, and film indigenous leaders, healers and educators, with the intention of preserving their wisdom, and sharing it with the world via their educational website.

I interviewed Connie about her vision for the world, and she expressed how moved she was by the beliefs of the Aboriginal tribes in Australia. She said that they believed that we were "The Dreamers of our Future." Therefore, we could together create a more beautiful world and future through our collective good thoughts, dreams and visions for that future. That is where the lyrics come from. Which I shall add below..I really just listened in the interview to Connie, and how passionate she was about offering the wisdom to the world from these amazing people. The melody came immediately thereafter. This was one of those songs, that wrote itself, it just flowed, as I sat viewing the pacific ocean in Maui...it was written in about 20 minutes.

A couple of years later I was able to have the wonderful healer, and one of my mentors, Patricia WhiteBuffalo come out from California to New York, with my group, The Souls of Evolution. Mary Page who works side by side with Connie, and whom I have sung with for years, flew out as well, and I was so blessed to have them both contribute to this recording. Lisa Nelson from NJ came up to play violin, and helped me to produce this song.

Connie herself put together the slide show to this song, which has been downloaded all over the world, and continues to inspire people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgFtrldRpRE

Dreamers of Our Future
By Joy Adler- C 2007
A song for Connie Cummings and The Foundation for Global Humanity

Verse 1
We’re dreamers of the future,
From lessons of our past.
Planting seeds in the present
For a world that lasts.

We’re all in this together
We’re all here as one.
With hands to heart,
The beating starts
Return the rhythm of..
The land of the sun.

Verse 2
I saw the lights dim in Africa
Crying out to us all…
Heard elders in Arnhem land
Speak from tongues so long ignored.

Wisdom from ancient tribes
Lost on all in modern times..
…Tell me, what cost? ( dramatic pause in music) Our rhythm lost,
Apart from heart and land.
Tell me, what cost? Our souls lost
Apart from heart and land)

We’re all in this together
We’re all here as one.
With hands to heart,
The beating starts
Return the rhythm of..
The land of the sun.
