The D.C. music community lost a great bluesman in 2011 with the passing of Ben Andrews. More than just a fixture on the scene, he was a source of inspiration for many local musicians including myself. The countless nights I spent watching him perform (mostly sober) would yield more than musical fruit for me. It was at one of Bens’ regular Tuesday night gigs where I met my wife, thereby truly solidifying his impact on my life. This album is dedicated to Ben, for he first set me on The Road To Mississippi.
