Album Notes
Jonathan Ramsey stirs a driving acoustic mix of brash protest and pub songs with haunting and sweet ballads. The result is a full, percussive, melodic mix of Irish traditional, and modern acoustic folk amusement. Jonathan\'s newest recording, \"Live at Cruisin\' Route 66\", showcases the broad dynamics of his on-stage sound, including his trademark songs of love, rebellion, murder, and the compulsory smattering of \"happy songs about death\".

Raised both on the New Jersey shore and in land-locked Missouri, Jonathan is neither a rock musician working at Irish music, nor a folk singer struggling to cross over. He\'s purely a product of being Irish and American in a modern world.

His self-titled, first solo CD of Irish songs bears witness to Jonathan\'s musical background. Packed with pub songs, rebel songs, and love songs, he performed these \"live in studio\" to capture the impact of the music.
