ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This collection of original songs is a creative and daring debut from singer/songwriter Julia Read. Many of the compositions are journeys, theatrical acts, not limited to the known quantity of the conventional song form. 'Go On Go' features violins, vocal harmonies, guitars, accordians, clarinets and drums- as well as unexpected changes, comedic moments and one song where you hear the vocals cry-singing. The emotions called up are varied and are given space.
The Album was recorded on an 8 track reel-to-reel tape recorder with engineer Raky Sastri (of Nohow On)
and features the beautiful playing of Nathan Blehar, Jazer Giles (of Rusty Belle), Matt Lorenz (of Rusty Belle and The Suitcase Junket) and Raky Sastri (Nohow On)

the best
This is a beautiful album. It is the best thing that I have heard in a long time. I like to listen to it on the subway, or other places that are loud beacause it makes a nice, quiet space.
