ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Having grown up in a house filled with blues, folk and gospel music, Jonathan Shue's sound reaches deep into the well of American roots music. At the same time, his songs have a contemporary edge that make them marketable to a variety of audiences. At the heart of his songs are good stories, distinctive melodies and fresh arrangements.

Jonathan has self-released three previous EPs, The Unknown Prospector, Desire & Ordinary Things and In The Valley of Heart's Delight. His latest, Chasing Hurricanes, features a full band backing him on two songs, a Dylanesque "Orangecoat" and Ray Charles-inspired "Honesty Gets Me In Trouble," and includes a show favorite, "Bartholomew," the surrealistic tale of a man who tries to fly.

Jonathan has performed all over Los Angeles including such singer/songwriter hotspots as Room 5 and Tangier, as well as B.B. King's Blues Club. For more information, including contact and booking information, please visit www.jonathanshue.com and www.myspace.com/jonathanshue.
