FM Cops (Chopper Girl Mix)

by Jude Gwynaire

A distorted blend of hard rock and electronica, this mix is a spaced-out, extended version of the original, featuring two alternative synth solos. It's down, dirty and techno-psychedelic!

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Featuring a heavily distorted Fender Strat and some mega synth solos and effects, this extended mix of FM Cops will blow your mind! Don't forget to check out the standard mix, plus the new LA Mix, of this cool track!

'On his latest single, “FM Cops,” Gwynaire pounds the pedal to the floor and accelerates into the furthest reaches of his imagination. Combining progressive rock with ‘60s psychedelia and electronica, Gwynaire produces a pulsating soundtrack for the senses; the track leaps from the speakers with wild abandon, enveloping the room in surround sound. Blaring sirens and fuzzy riffs illustrate a vision of a police chase; the song’s quick pace portrays the breathless speed of the automobile. The revved-up engine takes a futuristic turn with the icy rhythms of Gwynaire’s synthesizers. There’s a retro vibe to the keyboards here, reminiscent of vintage Gary Numan but also the Doctor Who theme. Nevertheless, it’s contemporary, too, with a pummelling backbeat that recalls the Chemical Brothers in their prime. Unlike many techno singles, there is a smoothness to “FM Cops” that creates greater accessibility. Gwynaire’s jazz sensibilities are evident here, providing a melodic undertow to the sonic chaos.'
