A Woman's Work

by Jude Johnstone

A raw and unapologetic study of love, loss and deliverance with a particular keen emphasis on the female perspective. It’s perhaps Johnstone's most personal and reflective collection.

Album Notes
“As fine a singer-songwriter as any I know… I’m a huge fan.”
~Rodney Crowell

“Jude is one of my favorite singers and songwriters…she is one of the most soulful, deep singer-songwriters I know.”
~Bonnie Raitt

Jude Johnstone has a long and illustrious songwriting career created by her heartbreakingly beautiful and profoundly poetic songs. Johnstone’s abiity to reveal her deepest emotions has attracted the attention and respect from a wide and diverse group of acclaimed artists who have covered her songs including Bonnie Raitt, Johnny Cash, Bette Midler, Emmylou Harris, Stevie Nicks and Trisha Yearwood. These legendary artists are drawn to the emotional truth found in Johnstone’s songs that are without pretense or posturing. Johnstone’s work is poignantly heartfelt and deeply emotional.

Blows Me Away!!
This CD blows me away! Actually, all of Jude’s CDs do that, but I’d have to say this one is at the top of my list of favorites. My only complaint is that it’s not a double (or triple) CD, since I’m always sad to have it end. It’s definitely one of those CDs that I put on repeat mode.
