ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Lynx is endowed with a big-league voice: strong, fresh and country clear, with an engagingly warm fuzzy edge ..." Avenue Online, Miles Durrie.

JULIA LYNX IS A CANADIAN SINGER SONGWRITER BASED IN CANMORE, ALBERTA.

ON STAGE, SHE PUTS THE LISTENER AT EASE WITH HER MISCHIEVOUS, PLAYFUL AND SENSUAL DISPOSITION. HER POP-FOLK BALLADS ECHO MOMENTS OF MELANCHOLY AND MAGIC, CAPTURING THE BEAUTY OF LOVING OUR LANDS AND EACH OTHER.

ADVOCATING FOR WOMEN'S HEALTH AS A BIRTH DOULA AND WORKING AS A DEDICATED CONSERVATION LOBBYIST, JULIA WALKED 4,300 KM OVER FIVE MONTHS ALONG THE PACIFIC CREST TRAIL, AND LATER 900 HUNDRED MORE ON THE GREAT DIVIDE TRAIL IN THE CANADIAN ROCKIES, SINGING HER SOUL EACH DAY.

Julia’s debut album Wild Patience is the fresh and catchy result of her collaborative sessions with producer and award winning multi-instrumentalist Marc Atkinson (Marc Atkinson Trio, The Bills). The two joined creative forces at Marc’s Barn Studio on Hornby Island.

Julia is a self-confessed nature lover who helps her pals hunt now and then. She is affectionately known as “Julia Doulia” by the families she supports in her part-time role as a birthing doula. As well as facilitating artist retreats set in picturesque and remote locations, Julia has presented workshops at The Banff Centre in the Canadian Rockies.

Gratitude to Janice Tanton for creating the album art and to Jean McAllister at Dark Horse Company for the album design.

Julia successfully lobbied with community for the return of bison to Banff National Park with Bison Belong.
