Album Notes
Rob and Duf have been playing music for a few years together with a distinct shared direction in their heads. They met in a cover band, Dr. D's Menagerie through a mutual friend that had formed the band. After the break up of that band the two searched out other options. After a while finding unhappiness with playing covers they started to work on their own stuff and Three In The Tree was born. Struggling to find others that shared in their musical endeavor at times seemed overwhelming to them, but was worth it in the end. Many other musicians came and went as time passed, some left their musical impressions others left great stories to be told. After a 2 week tour around America they decided to record their own album, it would serve as a way to show other musicians what they were wanting to put together. In June of 2017 the recording of What A Night In Reno was started. With most of the principle recording done by November it looked as though they would release it early 2018. Then they meet Byrd, he had been recommended to both of them by separate people on different occasions. After reaching out to him and giving him some of the recordings they had put together he was eager to join them. Byrd first jammed with them in November of 2017 , if you search through their facebook archives there is a recording posted from the first night they all jammed. They messed around with the three piece idea for a few sessions and just realized both Duf and Byrd needed to be on guitar. The search for a Bass player began and as luck would have it the process was not long. Niki Roberts showed up with her pedal box of power and rocked right along with the band from the first minute. Opportunities arose quick and some new songs were written and recording started. After a quick name change and some P.R. Junior Jr. was now in full swing. The album Obligatory Demo shows their diversity and creativity in their love of the craft. The album is a culmination of tracks from Duf and Rob's original recording and new tracks created since the formation of the band. Junior Jr. truly is a force of it's own that is growing rapidly. If you enjoy the album you have to see them live.
