ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Justin Rock is a young singer/songwriter with a contemplative sound that leaves its listeners refreshed and yearning for more. Rooted in everything from 60's folk music to modern jazz to classical, Justin brings his own unique voice to the forefront of his influences. His songs exhibit melancholy moods that inevitably seem to find their way out of the dark and into paths toward a bright, hopeful future. "My music reflects how I breath and exist. I have a tendency to push myself into destructive situations, and that strips me down to my vulnerable self. That's where the angst is born and heard... but I usually can't finish a song without picking my head up and giving myself and the listeners something to look forward to. Some sort of hope." These sort of messages have an important relevance to our modern times."I try to be my honest self as much as I can, and write for the moment. Whether it's my moment or the world's moment, that's what creates timeless music and art to me." His new album, "Varna", is full of new invigorating sounds and textures that can assure for an exciting and original listening experience.
