Album Notes
Justin Solonynka's sixth solo album is a quirky, home-cooked concoction of Christmas carols and holiday favorites. Titled "A Cup of Kindness," it features unique takes on many holiday tunes, including "Christmas Time is Here" (set in a 5/4 medium jazz swing), "O Come, All Ye Faithful" (prog rock with a pipe organ), and "Baby It's Cold Outside" (a slightly subversive version with Justin's wife Courtney Gable sharing the vocals). Instruments on the album include piano, keyboards, guitar, trombone, trumpet, pennywhistle, melodica, and panpipes - all played by Justin.

Since the late 1990s, Justin Solonynka has performed his virtuosic fusion piano music throughout the greater Philadelphia area at venues including the Folk Factory, Godfrey Daniels, and Musikfest. He combines his delightfully captivating compositions with his gift for storytelling to create shows that are enjoyed by people of all ages.

"An accomplished and creative musician with energy and good-will to spare." David Heitler-Klevans, Two of a Kind

"One of the bright lights to come on the Lehigh Valley music scene in the last few years... Justin's exuberance and humility reflect a creative maturity uncommon amongst today's emerging musicians." Dave Fry, Artistic Director of Godfrey Daniels

"Justin's work is intelligent, funny, acerbic, human, and ultimately uplifting. He plays one mean piano, and that alone makes a listen worth the ride." Bill George, founder of Touchstone Theatre
