Album Notes
KACEE..... After studying under the repressive bonds of a classical Conservatory of Music, this Northern California native packed her heart and soul and everything else she owned into a truck bound for Los Angeles and the freedom it offered. Kacee recorded her debut CD, SEEING RED, in 1996 and quickly found herself immersed in the vast talent pool of L.A., working side by side with players she once admired from a distance equivalent to the space between any given stage and her seat in the venue.

In the summer of 2001, Kacee was cast in the role of a lifetime: playing the lead in the extreme rock musical, "LOVE, JANIS," a journey into the mind and music of the legendary Janis Joplin. In early 2002, she was asked to join BIG BROTHER & THE HOLDING CO., Janis Joplin's original San Francisco-based band, as their lead vocalist. She spent the next few years performing for packed venues full of screaming fans, carving out a name for herself, and solidifying her reputation as a raw and energetic power-house. She continued in both capacities for nearly a decade.

2005 once again brought amazing change for Kacee. She joined forces with the legendary JOE COCKER as a background singer on his Heart & Soul world tour. She continued in that capacity through the recent Hymn For My Soul world tour, which ended at the top of 2008.

Kacee's sophomore effort, MAMA CAME TO SING, had to be squeezed into the gaps and seams of a busy touring life. Teaming up with close friends Tom Lilly (producer) and Jon Nichols (both of the Beth Hart Band) proved to be the magical combination necessary to bring the project to fruition. Mama is a blend of hard-hitting rock, funky folk, groovy blues, and moody pop. It is the culmination of lonely days spent on the road and crazy nights spent writing in the studio, and delivers the raw vocals and powerful lyrics which are the cornerstone of Kacee's success as a songwriter.

Kacee was honored to join the faculty of the LA Music Academy in 2008 as a vocal and performance instructor. She has been instrumental in designing both the performance program and rock division of the vocal department.

Kacee began singing behind the incomparable Luis Miguel in 2008 and serves now as section leader and choreographer. She also stays busy as a private vocal coach, producer and arranger, and writes for film and TV.

Eyes popped, jaw dropped
Of COURSE it's a five-star cd! Just LISTEN to it! Kacee is a super-star with stardust to spare. And I'm proud to say that I've met her once or twice and she is as kind, warm, and gracious as she is beautiful and talented. This CD won't leave my stereo until 2007. Believe that. WOW.

Kacee DID Come to Sing!!
This CD is a demo of the sum of Kacee's chops. There's every kind of Rock and Roll on those tracks. I am old (64) and like it eclectic. She does it all, and with journeyman expertise. I didn't want to kill myself or bang my head, but I loved every note!

Absolutely love it indeed! Good work honey! Keep it up!

Kacee gives us a breathy drawl and is a wonderful singer! My husband and I both highly recommend her CD to anyone!

Don't think twice - just buy this cd! Man, it's been a long time since I heard something this f..... good. I live in Denmark (cold Scandinia) and listened to the cd for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It just blew me away. This is the kind of music so few artists play anymore, the kind of music all the huge record companies are so afraid of. I can just picture a record executive listening to this, lookin' all freaked and whispering_ "No, no_ it has guitar-solos, man?". This is rock music as it was meant to be. It's a product made by people who might as well have been playing "Woodstock" (and not the recent one). Kacee is a fantastic singer, with a voice that can pretty much do anything. I understand the record has taken about three years to complete and it just shines through that this is a labour of love, delivered to us by the three people writing and composing all songs. Because let's not forget the two cool cats Jon Nichols on guitar and Tom Lilly on bass. (those two are actually half of Beth Hart Band), and they sound absolutely amazing on this. To sum it all up "Mama came to sing" just sounds great and it really does sound like these guys have been havin' a lot of fun with it. It just keeps changin' as you hear it, and you never (really) know where it's gonna go. I mean suddenly a little violin pops up, a mandolin and a baroke choir (?!).I rate this as a Best Buy of 2005/2006. Now order it, man!

As a child of rock n’ roll, decades removed from childhood, I am once again completely immersed in music. This music becomes more a part of my bloodstream each time I listen. Kacee’s newest release Mama Came To Sing is an incredibly refreshing body of work. Her voice ranges from ethereal to rip you from your roots, stand on your chair screaming, freeing rock n’ roll. Come along for the ride. Do not look back. Slip into the core of Kacee’s music, a jet-propelled tube train racing through the depths and colors of all emotion, from purple so deep it leaves goose bumps to white hot rocking screams. My Best Addiction will send you shopping for new speakers and Whisper My Name will leave you doing just that. The entire journey of this release is such a joy. In Mama Came To Sing, the quality of production, the depth, the purity, and the spirit of Kacee will leave you shaking your head like only the truly good stuff can. Every cut has the strength to stand on its own. This music needs to be heard. I suggest a CD six-pack when purchasing Mama Came To Sing.
