Album Notes
This is my latest tune, a short instrumental ditty called “Easter”

A little back story: I wrote this song when I was 23. I recorded a demo of it in my basement on my Tascam 4-track when I was home alone on (you guessed it) Easter. For obvious reasons, it pops into my head about this time every year. The problem is, the only recording I have of it is that little cassette demo I did in my basement all those years ago. Last week, I had the bright idea that I would record it and get it out in time for Easter. The only trouble was that I had to relearn it, but I thought that would be no issue. It took me hours of digging to find the tape, which was just labeled "acoustic instrumental". Also, 23-year-old me had some wacky ideas. The main guitar part is hand-stretch central and the dual guitar harmonies are not what I would have written today- they’re actually more interesting. I did add a few little things to update it for my own soul, but it’s all new to everybody else in the world. The coolest thing (for me) is that I played it on the same classical guitar that I wrote it on, purchased for $50 at Rolls Music in Falls Church, VA when I first moved to this area from Ohio.

Hope you enjoy it!
